Elizabethan Flower Bag

So I bought myself an new sewing machine with embroidery capabilities this past year. One day while we were with the Queen she was talking about new things she would like to get for her basket. One of which was a new bag for the flowers she is given as gifts. The previous one was at least ten years old and starting to show its age. I told her I would make her one that week to replace it.

I found the stamped velvet two years prior and was just waiting for a project to use it for. We embroidered the Tudor Rose and ER on the bag using the machine. My husband digitized the image and I assembled the bag one it was embroidered. The bag is large enough to hold up to a dozen roses with water vials. It was a fun little project and we learned a lot about the imaging software.
