'Who needs the Woodsman?'

I made this for Halloween and a photo shoot which these shots came from (taken by Roger Wiedyk [link] ). Since I didn't hear about the DA Halloween contest until a few days after I got these pictures back and I've been making these pieces over time I don't think these will qualify, but I might give entering a shot anyway. If I did, this would be the shot that would be submitted.

I made the cloak this summer. It's three yards of wool gabardine using my own pattern and is just over a half circle. The bodice is a piece I've had for years. It's black corduroy. The chemise and shoes were on loan from my friend Sarah since I didn't have a short sleeve shirt nor shoes that quite worked at the time. I used a Simplicity pattern for the skirt (sorry I don't remember which one) which ended up being a circle-skirt pattern so I probably should have just skipped it since I ended up tailoring and shortening it anyway. While you cannot see it in this picture the skirt is reversible with black on one side and red on the other. The rifle was one of Roger's props, and the knife is actually a WWII bayonet belonging to my friend Dave, a former Marine. I think that is everything.
