You can see the updated version of my Anne Knollys gown here. Only a few changes were made since the last Deviation. I completely remade the bodice and added a second line of trim down the center front of the overskirt. The only other real change since the last picture was I remade the hatband on my little blue hat and added some new feathers. I think over the winter the hat is going to be remade. I'm not sure exactly how yet, but the forepart and sleeves are going to be beaded even more. Oh yeah, and the sleeves need a little bit of tweaking. I may try and bead the trim, but I'm not really sure how I would do it yet. For next year I'm planning a doublet bodice as well.

The pretty girl in my other dress is my friend Brit who came out to try court for the day (and she's hooked! Yes!) and ended up playing my character's little sister, Catherine Knollys. You can see the info about that gown here: [link]
I think she looks lovely.

If I cared what people thought I'd never leave my room. ...though, now that I think about it, it's a very nice option should i attempt caring.

Yeah, it was really surreal to see "myself" walking up the hill.

There are several good resources online if you know how to sew. There are also lots of places where you can take sewing and patterning classes.

Oh how I've dreamed of sewing as well as you! These gowns are stunning! And you both look so lovely in them! Oh, and I can't wait to see how well you do on all those modifications you are planning, :-) The dress is lovely as is, but they always say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, :-)
