Coming soon...

Journal Entry: Thu Apr 17, 2008, 8:30 PM
...to a DA post near you.

NEW STUFF! Yes, believe it or not I actually have been working on some stuff since this summer. I have a brand new 1860s dress (made for me) that will make its formal debut in May and in the meantime, I have 1860s underpinnings and accessories to share.

Oh yeah, and eventually more Elizabethan stuff. I have the Anne Knollys bodice to fix, more beads to add to the forepart and sleeves and then a doublet bodice to make. I am also helping my "sister" (the one in the picture) make her dress. So stay tuned for pictures in the coming weeks.

Thanks for helping me out today! I had fun. I'm sorry if I seemed quiet, fabric searching is just stressing me out. :)

The answer is yes. I have made something, but it is not a project I like to think about. It was made well and worn poorly. PoF is a great resource. Granted I'm biased, but check out Margo Anderson's men's pattern as a base since they can be adapted for several different social classes. Shoot me a note and we'll talk more if you like.

hi there! i was curious if you've ever made men's elizabethan garments. i'd like to have something for my boyfriend for faire, but i'm a little daunted since i've never made anything for men before! *clutches patterns of fashion nervously*

Hey thanks! Yeah, I lent the gown to my friend Brit who was playing with court for the day. I'm actually going to post a dev in a minute of she and I. Sorry I haven't been around to notice it.
